Three score 42 but it’s Adrian who just shades the verdict

SATURDAY’S stableford - sponsored by Tandragee Pro Shop - was won by Adrian Maney.  

Adrian scored 43 points to win the competition by a point from second placed Stuart Paul who also had 42. Adrian took the prize on the countback, courtesy of 24 points on the back nine.  

Alan Black, who also scored 42 points - 20 on the back nine - finished third.  

Harry Thompson and Philip Irwin both scored  41 points with Harry winning fifth prize with a better back six holes.  

Paul Headley won the gross prize with 73 gross - 35 gross on the back nine – while John Lennon won the seniors’ prize with 40 points.

 

SUNDAY OPEN STABLEFORD

 

The Sunday Open Stableford was won by David Irwin who scored 40 points.  

James McConville was second with 39 points and in third place was Ryan McVeigh (38 points).

 

LADIES

The ladies’ stableford, sponsored by James Hewitt, was won by lady captain Lavern Saunders with 39 points.  Annie Hall took second prize having scored 37 points.

 

JUNIOR CAPTAIN”S DAY

 

Junior Captain, Benjamin Boyd held his day for the juniors on Saturday.  

Some 55 juniors competed over three different levels.  

The four-hole competition was won by Jamie Fitzsimons with 27 shots.  Nathan Macauley won second prize with 28 shots and Shay Garvey took third with 31 shots.  Nathan won the putting competition.

Kate Shortt won the nine-hole competition with 14 points.

Joshua Dennison won second prize with 13 points and Jay McWilliams finished in third place, also with 13 points. Jay also won the nine hole putting competition.  

The nearest the pin prize was won by Joshua Dennison and the longest drive was won by Holly Doyle.  Ellie Barnett won the chipping competition.

The 18-hole Junior Captain’s prize was won by Ella Duke with 43 points.  

Charlie Rowe took second prize with 42 points and Jack McMurray the third with 41 points.  Edward Rowe won the gross prize with 80 gross.  

Nearest the pin was won by Lee Whitten, while the girls’ longest drive was won by Scarlett Taylor and the boys’ by Jack McMurray.
